Summary

The job is for a Senior Full-Stack Java Developer to work on a Risk Monitoring Workspace Platform. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining microservices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, enhancing and maintaining existing applications, implementing RESTful APIs using AWS services, ensuring code quality, participating in code reviews, and mentoring junior developers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 7+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a strong emphasis on backend development
  • Expertise in Java development, with experience in designing and implementing microservices
  • Proficiency in UI development using Angular or React
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL
  • Experience with key frameworks and tools such as Node.js, JUnit, and Spring
  • Proven experience working with AWS services including EC2, ECS, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL), Lambda, and API Gateway
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable microservices for the Risk Monitoring Workspace Platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Enhance and maintain existing applications within the platform, ensuring they meet performance and security standards
  • Work on full-stack development tasks, with a primary focus on backend development (80%) and UI development (20%)
  • Implement and optimize RESTful APIs, leveraging AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL), Lambda, and API Gateway

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the financial services industry, particularly in trading or risk monitoring environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • AWS certification(s) would be a plus
