Summary

Join Darkhive, LLC, a robotics company focused on public safety and defense, as a Full Stack Java Engineer. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying software solutions for our drone systems. This is an exempt, non-supervisory, remote position with travel up to three weeks per quarter. The annual salary ranges from $140,000 to $180,000, depending on experience. We are looking for a talented engineer with at least five years of experience and a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language and Enterprise Java frameworks (Spring Boot)
  • Experience in building RESTful APIs and micro-services architecture
  • Solid understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue for example)
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to travel up to three weeks per quarter as needed
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust and scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
  • Create RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend and drone hardware
  • Build user-friendly and intuitive frontend interfaces using modern web technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
  • Leverage containerization and Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications efficiently
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with drone-related technologies (telemetry, flight control, image processing)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Contributions to open-source projects
  • Passion for drones and aviation
