Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer in Canada

Summary

The job is for a Senior/Staff/Lead Platform Engineer at a profitable B2B SaaS company specializing in no-code data segmentation. The role is remote from Canada and requires 6+ years of full stack experience with Ruby and JavaScript (ideally Typescript). The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end feature development, realtime feature development, building front-end components, and performance optimization. Requirements

• 6+ years full stack experience building and scaling services in Ruby and JavaScript (ideally Typescript)
• Strong in both Ruby on Rails and modern JS Web development
• Design, implementation, and maintenance of microservices
• Experience building and architecting microservices and distributed systems (deploying over AWS or GCP)
• Write test suites and deploy using our CI/CD pipeline
• Knowledge of database systems (Postgres) and SQL

Responsibilities

• End to End Feature development: Responsible for the overall development, design, and implementation of front-end/backend-end services
• Realtime Feature Dev: Contribute to and develop architecture for enabling real-time capabilities across our platform
• Building Front End Components: Building pixel-perfect front-end components (ex. Lit framework) and iterating user-focused applications and interfaces
• Performance Optimization: Identify, assess and improve bottle-necks or scaling issues
