Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer

Summary

Join a profitable B2B SaaS company as a Senior/Staff/Lead Rails/Typescript Engineer and play a core role in building our core applications platform. This remote, full-stack role (40% FE, 60% BE) offers the opportunity to work on a collaborative team, explore new technologies, and contribute to the development of real-time capabilities. We support Snowflake, BigQuery, and RedShift data warehouses and utilize a modern tech stack including Ruby on Rails, Typescript, React, AWS, and GCP. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of full-stack experience and a strong background in Ruby on Rails and modern JavaScript development. Requirements

• 6+ years full stack experience building and scaling services in Ruby and JavaScript (ideally experienced in Typescript)
• Strong in both Ruby on Rails and modern JS Web development
• Design, implementation, and maintenance of microservices
• Experience building and architecting microservices and distributed systems (deploying over AWS or GCP)
• Write test suites and deploy using our CI/CD pipeline
• Knowledge of database systems (Postgres) and SQL

Responsibilities

• End-to-end Feature development: Responsible for the overall development, design, and implementation of front-end/back-end services
• Realtime Feature Dev: Contribute to and develop the architecture for enabling real-time capabilities across our platform
• Building Front End Components: Building pixel-perfect front-end components (ex. Lit framework) and iterating user-focused applications and interfaces
• Performance Optimization: Identify, assess, and improve bottlenecks or scaling issues. ie looking for ways to make the product better!
