Full Stack Software Engineer

Summary

LightFeather is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer for a long-term project. The position requires expertise in Agile Development, OOP, microservices, and AWS cloud using React and Java Spring Boot. The job is full-time and remote.

Requirements

• US Citizenship
• Active clearance at the Public Trust level or above. DHS clearance preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Math, Engineering, or IT-related field preferred or equivalent experience
• 3+ yrs overall software development experience using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and the following core languages and technologies: React and Java Spring Boot
• 3+ yrs developing software on fully automated CI/CD in the cloud - specifically, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Must be proficient in developing APIs and microservices
• Must be proficient in automation tools - Jenkins, Git, Confluence/Jira

Responsibilities

• Devises and modifies applications programs and procedures to solve complex problems
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs
• Delivers competent O&M and system enhancement support by executing all phases of applications programming activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work as a team player
• Detailed documentation skills
• Excellent oral and written communications
• Strong customer service/client facing skills
• Other nice to haves: DevOps, Terraform, AWS CLI, Apigee
