Summary

Join SMX as a Full-Stack Web Application Developer supporting our Navy customer! This remote position, with potential travel to Port Hueneme, CA, requires expertise in Microsoft Suite languages (C#, ASP.net, JavaScript), SQL databases, and strong communication skills. You will architect, build, and maintain scalable systems, participate in code reviews, and stay current with modern development practices. A Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one) is required, along with a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of IT experience. Requirements

  • Clearance Required: Secret, or ability to obtain Secret
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, to include mid to advanced knowledge of SharePoint System 2013
  • Experience with the design and development of web applications utilizing ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS
  • Ability to write SQL Queries
  • Ability to write scripts for automation
  • Experience with performing implementation, testing, and maintenance
  • Experience with modifying and upgrading existing applications
  • Proven ability to create and assess solutions based on user goals, as well as research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • CSWF certification in accordance with DoD 8750 and SECNAV 5239.2
  • One Security Certificate: Security+, CISSP, CASP, CISM or SSCP

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining scalable systems, services, and products
  • Maintain and grow current products with a vision toward how the product and architecture should evolve to adapt to new customer needs
  • Participate in regular code reviews of peers; be open to pairing when necessary
  • Stay up to date with modern product development including libraries, tools, browser support, and frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to be a self-starter and work independently without a lot of oversight
