Summary
Join BigID, a leading data security and privacy tech startup, as a Full Stack Web and Software Developer. You will build, enhance, and support complex applications for our customers and partners. Responsibilities include development using object-oriented programming and agile methodologies, database architecture and support, UX/UI design and implementation, server administration, reporting integration, documentation, application maintenance, and project management. You will collaborate with engineers, product management, and services teams. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of experience in software development using Node.JS, TypeScript, and React, along with experience in RDBMS, RESTful APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure). Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills are essential.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in designing, developing, and testing software using Node.JS, TypeScript, and agile, git, and modern CI/CD tools
- Working knowledge of React, ideally with 2+ years of practical experience
- Working experience with RDBMs, such as MySQL/MariaDB
- Working experience with RESTful HTTP APIs
- Strong troubleshooting skills, experience with writing software unit tests, and a methodical approach to issue resolution
- Fluency in English and excellent communication, presentation, documentation, and organization skills
- 2+ years of experience with frontend UI technologies, usage of CSS, JavaScript and related frameworks, UX design, responsive design, and localization/i18n
- 1+ year of experience using and deploying solutions to a major cloud/hosting infrastructure like AWS or Azure, and working on scalability challenges
- A completed or expected undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or other related technical disciplines (professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree)
- Ability to set and achieve goals without supervision
Responsibilities
- Develop applications using object-oriented programming principles, agile methodology, and modern frameworks
- Architect, deploy, and support databases used by applications
- Design and implement application interfaces following modern UX methodologies and branding guidelines
- Administer servers used in the development cycle at both the OS and infrastructure levels within the Amazon cloud
- Integrate systems with third-party reporting and analytical tools
- Write and share application documentation, operational procedures, and best practices
- Build internal and external alerting capabilities for applications; troubleshoot issues and maintain applications
- Plan and execute the development life-cycle following a project plan, accounting for scope changes, cost considerations, and milestone commitments
- Collaborate with peer engineers, product management, and services on shared domains and roadmaps
