Fullstack Developer Intern

Summary

The job description is for an intern position at General Magic, a company dedicated to supporting crypto-philanthropic organizations and communities. The intern will work remotely and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of full-stack development with a focus on Web3 technologies. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, is proficient in written and verbal English, and has experience with unit and functional testing, debugging, and code review processes.

• Ability to work with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable code while contributing to frontend and/or backend and/or blockchain development
• Utilize analytical and abstract thinking to solve complex problems and guide projects forward
• Embrace constructive criticism, communicate effectively, and collaborate with team members worldwide
• Maintain flexibility in your schedule to coordinate with team members from different time zones and ensure efficient teamwork
• Uphold confidentiality standards in all aspects of your work

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently in the last year of a Computer Science degree or a recent graduate
• Prior exposure to frontend or backend or blockchain development (at least 1 year)
• Familiarity with JavaScript/Node.JS and databases
• Knowledge of modern authentication mechanisms and RESTful APIs
• Interest in blockchain concepts, particularly Ethereum and DeFi
• Exposure to Web3 libraries such as web3.js or ethers.js
