Fullstack Engineer

Summary

Join Stripe and Privy, a team dedicated to building delightful developer tools, and contribute to bringing crypto to everyone. Design intuitive interfaces for complex systems, build and integrate systems end-to-end, and implement product features driven by user needs. Advocate for usability and enforce web development best practices. We seek a software engineer with 5+ years of experience, strong coding skills, and excellent collaboration abilities. Experience in API-based businesses, payments, fintech, or crypto is preferred, as is experience with open-source developer tooling and publishing your work. The role requires working effectively across the stack and thriving in an autonomous environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry software engineering experience (does not include internships nor includes
• You can work effectively across the stack from top to bottom, comfortably navigating codebases with different languages and tools
• Strong coding skills in any programming language (we understand new languages can be learned on the job so our interview process is language agnostic)
• Strong collaboration skills, can work across work streams within your team and contribute to your peers’ success
• Have the ability to thrive on a high level of autonomy, responsibility, and think of yourself as entrepreneurial
• Interest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks to solve problems and delight both internal and external users

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive interfaces to break down complex systems and turn them into delightful developer tooling
• Build and integrate systems end-to-end across client-side and server-side APIs to enable a seamless developer experience
• Design and implement end-to-end product features driven by user needs
• Advocate for usability and interface coherence across our teams and products
• Enforce web development best practices across our entire product collaborating with other core stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong preference for experience in an API-based business and in payments, fintech, or crypto
• Written open-source developer tooling
• Published about your work (code, presentations, papers, blog posts, etc.)
