Fullstack Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Software Engineer at Firstup, a communication platform serving 40 Fortune 100 companies. The role involves building scalable SaaS applications, improving architecture, and collaborating across teams. The employee will be expected to write high-quality code, design future-ready solutions, and identify, analyze, and resolve system issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study, or commensurate experience required
• 3+ years of experience building reliable and performant microservices
• Experience working with: Ruby, TypeScript, or JavaScript frameworks (i.e.: Node.js, React.js)
• Proven experience developing on the front-end, back-end, and even the database
• Technical depth and proficiency in at least one software engineering topic (networking, security, serverless, event streams, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm preferred
• Experience with AWS preferred
• Experience with ML, AI preferred
• Experience working for an enterprise SaaS organization preferred
• Open-source contributions and history of side-projects preferred
