Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Software Development or a comparable qualification
  • Work experience with Java and frontend frameworks and an interest in becoming an expert in e-commerce or engagement development
  • Familiar with various design and architecture patterns
  • Skilled in writing clean, readable Java code
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM development teams
  • Experience with user-centered design and the application of user experience concepts
  • Experience with Java, Spring MVC, JEE, JSP Servlets, JUnit, Tomcat, SQL, IntelliJ, GIT, OO, Soap and Webservices, and RDBMS (e.g., MS SQL)
  • Experience in frontend development with Javascript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JSP, XML, Firebug and/or JSLint, and a frontend framework such as Angular or React
  • Fluent in German and professional English skills in spoken and written form

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable source code within planning and budget constraints for high-quality e-commerce that exceeds all customer expectations
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Work in a team with other passionate developers committed to achieving high-quality results
  • Support the project manager in the estimation process
  • Contribute to the conception and design of software solutions (together with the analyst, technical lead, UI designer, UX designer, or architect)
  • Be an active member of the programmer branch within SQLI Digital Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Platform-specific knowledge is advantageous, e.g., SAP Commerce (Hybris), Magento, Bloomreach
  • DevOps experience and knowledge of CI/CD, cloud hosting, and headless architectures would also be advantageous
