Functional Tester

Summary

Join Accenture Federal Services as a Functional Tester and contribute to strengthening national security and improving lives. This remote position requires hands-on experience with back-end testing (REST API and Database testing) and a comprehensive understanding of mortgage operations, particularly the VA LGY program. You will create and execute test cases, document results, report defects, and collaborate with development and data teams. The ideal candidate possesses experience in Agile frameworks, manual and automated testing, and proficiency with tools like Jira and Confluence. A High Public Trust Clearance is required. Requirements

• Experience in testing projects in an Agile framework with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Experience with manual testing and related processes
• Experience with the Agile software development methodology
• Proficiency with creating requirements and solution documentation using Confluence and Jira
• Proficiency with test planning, construction, and artifact management software, such as Jira
• Experience working with XML & JSON web services and flat file integrations
• Experience in writing or executing quality assurance test cases with a focus on BDD
• Strong QA/Testing experience in writing and executing test scenarios/test cases
• API and integration testing experience
• Must be able / eligible to obtain a High Public Trust Clearance

Responsibilities

• Create, review and execute test cases based on business requirements
• Execute manual and automated tests
• Execute end to end tests from data sourcing through user interface
• Document results of test cases based on system requirements, functional and technical specifications
• Ensure software meets intended user requirements and user scenarios
• Report defects and document issues as required in Jira
• Assist development team in triage and resolution of defect
• Perform re-test of defects and review test results
• Work with data team to help populate and/or create test data in the test environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with the mortgage industry
• Mortgage experience highly desired
• E2E testing, UAT experience
