Summary

MicroHealth is hiring a Functional Tester with 5-7 years of experience to test software functionalities for health information systems. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, strong understanding of software QA methodologies, and ability to obtain and maintain VA clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5 to 7 years of experience in functional testing
• Proven experience as a Functional Tester or similar role
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results to ensure the software system’s functionality
• Evaluate product code according to specifications
• Report bugs and errors to the development team and follow through with comprehensive troubleshooting
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements in software testing

Preferred Qualifications

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a VA clearance
