Summary

The job description is for a Senior Fund Accountant at GXE, an early-stage financial services startup that provides digital infrastructure and services for Trustee Services, Custody, and Fund Administration. The role requires a leader with a strong client-centric mindset, excellent communication skills, and 10 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in private equity, real estate or venture capital.

• A deep understanding of our industry and the ability to stay current with industry trends
• A bachelor's degree in the required field (e.g., a Bachelor of Accounting or a Bachelor of Business (majoring in Accounting). Master's degree preferred
• Hold a current Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification
• Ten years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in private equity, real estate or venture capital
• Experience in fund-accounting related audit and tax or willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Be a leader and Client advocate
• Deliver the Client / Fund Accounting function
• Execute Fund Accounting responsibilities for assigned Client contracts
• Execute Trust Accounting responsibilities for nominated trust/escrow accounts
