Remote Fund Accountant

Summary

Join Voleon as a Fund Accountant and work with internationally recognized experts in machine learning research and finance professionals. Collaborate on managing fund accounting, post-trade operations, reporting, and various projects while supporting growth initiatives and scaling Voleon's infrastructure.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of experience in public accounting, a private fund or fund administrator
• Thorough understanding of financial reporting and its application to investment management funds
• Experience working with enterprise-level accounting software
• Advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel
• Experience automating manual processes (preferred)
• Exposure to or interest in gaining experience with python or SQL (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
• Authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy and provide key reporting, including monthly and annual financial statements, tax compliance responsibilities, and treasury management related to investment funds across multiple asset classes and geographies
• Work closely with service providers to ensure policies and internal control standards are being followed
• Develop and monitor daily and monthly reconciliations between internal records, prime brokers, counterparties, banks, and the fund administrator
• Maintain the internal accounting system, produce daily and monthly trading profit and loss reports and AUM reports, and confirm settlement activity across trading strategies
• Manage projects including efficiency initiatives, global fixed income trading efforts, new broker/trading counterparty onboarding, and researching/ implementing new product launches
