Funds Lawyer - LP Transfers

Join Avantia Law, a pioneering law firm, as a Funds Lawyer to manage daily LP transfer workflows for clients. You will engage directly with clients, providing legal advice and ensuring processes align with client playbooks. Responsibilities include preparing LP transfer documents, conducting negotiations, resolving issues, and supervising junior team members. Collaboration with technology and growth teams is also expected. This role requires 2+ PQE in closed-ended funds and LP transfers, qualification in England & Wales or the US, and excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Requirements

• 2+ PQE with experience in closed ended funds and LP transfers
• Qualified in England & Wales or US
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong communication skills and client-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients directly, providing a full deal review and expert legal advice, ensuring all transfer processes align with client playbooks
• Prepare LP transfer documents, including transfer agreements and subscription documents
• Conduct negotiations based on client playbooks and escalate any issues to the client as needed
• Escalate and resolve any issues or flags during the transfer process
• In collaboration with MD - LP Transfers, support with day to day supervision, training and mentoring junior team members (e.g. Paralegals or more junior lawyers)
• Collaborate with our technology team to help us innovate & utilise AI-driven workflow tools in your legal work
• Assist our Growth team with new client pitches when required
