Summary

Join T-Minus Zero, a remote-first studio, as a Gameplay Engineer to contribute to the creation of an AAA game and IP. You will work closely with the Gameplay Team to implement gameplay features, collaborate with designers, and maintain high-quality code in UE5 using C++ and Unreal Blueprints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in gameplay programming on AAA games
  • Ability to write, debug, and maintain C++ code
  • Experience using 3D math to implement features such as player cameras, physics, movement, and animation
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical peers

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high quality, efficient gameplay code in UE5 using C++ and Unreal Blueprints
  • Collaborate with the design team to implement, refine, and balance gameplay features
  • Architect networked gameplay mechanics, including combat and traversal
  • Define and maintain workflows that allow all disciplines to iterate effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Unreal Engine, with prior UE4+ experience highly desirable
  • Strong game design sensibilities and experience working closely with game designers on either gameplay mechanics or character, camera and controls
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Portfolio of previous projects showing a range of experience
