Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in an accounting/finance role, with General Ledger experience a plus
  • Strong accounting expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of accruals, payroll, fixed assets accounting, and month-end close processes
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various finance departments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Maintain General Ledger Accounts: Ensure the proper maintenance and accuracy of all general ledger accounts, including posting journal entries and reconciling discrepancies
  • Month-End and Year-End Close: actively participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing and maintaining various financial reports, accruals calculations, and review,  ensuring all entries are recorded correctly and in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to verify and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Payroll journals booking, corrections, and reconciliations, including involvement in resolving issues for various entities, and cooperation with the payroll team as well as the external payroll providers
  • Accounting entries: Preparation and recording of accounting adjustments, including addressing one-off accounting issues and making data-driven amendments as needed
  • Audit: Support external audits by providing requested information and addressing any audit queries
  • Financial statements: Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, including collaboration with external advisors and preparation of supporting schedules
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and accounting procedures
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Planning & Analysis, to provide financial insights and support organizational initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Netsuite is a plus
