General QA Engineer

Summary

Join Kyivstar.Tech as an experienced QA Engineer and contribute to a high-load CRM platform project. Analyze and clarify business and technical requirements, design test plans and strategies, and perform functional, integration, and performance testing. Develop and maintain automated test scenarios using Java and Playwright. Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and analysts in an Agile environment. Contribute to QA process improvements and automation frameworks. Provide metrics and reporting using various tools. Stay up-to-date with QA strategies, tools, and technologies. This role requires extensive experience in automation testing, programming, and working with various testing tools and methodologies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in automation testing
• 4+ year of experience with Programming language (Java, TypeScript)
• 2+ year of experience with Playwright
• 4+ year of experience with WEB application testing
• 4+ year of experience with API testing (e.g., Postman)
• Experience in writing test documentation
• Knowledge of testing methodologies
• Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience with DB clients and strong knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Understanding of client-server architecture, microservices, backend experience
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments and confident use of command-line tools
• Experience with test documentation: test plans, strategies, test cases, and bug reports
• Strong Java automation skills — ability to build test automation frameworks from scratch
• Intermediate or higher level of English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

• Analyze and clarify business and technical requirements
• Design test plans, test strategies and test cases for services
• Perform functional, integration, and performance testing
• Investigate issues using logs and metrics tools (Grafana, Kibana)
• Develop and maintain automated test scenarios using Java from scratch (back-end)
• Develop and maintain automated test scenarios for front-end from scratch (Playwright, TS)
• Develop an automated testing approach and test scripts based on requirements-related artifacts
• Provide automated testing coverage for project
• Provide metrics and reporting with different tools like Allure or etc
• Be up-to-date with the main popular AQA strategies, tools, and technologies
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and analysts in an Agile approach
• Actively contribute to QA process improvements and automation frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Performance testing experience with JMeter or similar tool
• Ability to build test automation frameworks from scratch
