GL Accountant Intern

Summary

The job is for a GL Accountant Intern at Wallbox, a global EV company. The intern will perform various accounting tasks under the supervision of the Director of GL and Consolidation. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Finance or a related field, has good math skills, knowledge of accounting principles, data analysis skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and fluency in English (Spanish is a plus). The internship is for six months with the possibility of extension, and benefits include half-day Fridays, smartpoint for online orders, free coffee, discounted meals at the canteen, and learning from a diverse team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or a similar field
• Expertise in numbers and good math skills are very important
• A knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis
• Must be able to collect, evaluate and interpret data, in both statistical and narrative form
• A high level of organizational skills for maintaining records and documentation
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis and computer software skills
• Fluent in English. A high level of Spanish is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Ensure data accuracy
• Prepare journal entries
• Reconcile financial statements and accounts
• Generate and distribute account management reports on monthly basis
• Perform accounting analysis for cash accruals, account payables, account receivables, reconciliations and foreign exchange
• Provide appropriate accounting information to customers when needed
• Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries
• Analyze and perform foreign currency exchanges
• Support Auditor in conducting external audits
• Assist in tax preparation and filing activities
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and revenue accounts
• Review financial reports to identify and explain variances
• Prepare cash flow statements and resolve outstanding balancing issues
