Summary

Aerospike is seeking an experienced Global Head of Business Development to manage, coach, and drive the performance of a team of Business Development Representatives. The role involves generating new business opportunities, implementing sales strategies, collaborating with teams, analyzing metrics, recruiting, training, and using CRM systems effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a BDR or sales development role, with at least 1 year in a team lead or management position
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and successfully managing sales teams
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software, SaaS, or related industries
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and coach a global team of Business Development Representatives to achieve and exceed opportunity generation targets
  • Develop and implement effective sales development strategies, including prospecting, lead generation, and qualification processes
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align BDR activities with overall company objectives and campaigns
  • Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to sales and marketing leadership
  • Foster a positive, high-energy, and goal-oriented team culture that encourages continuous learning and development
  • Recruitment, onboard, and train of new BDR team members
  • Ensure proper use of CRM systems and other tools, maintaining accurate data and reporting
  • Develop outbound email and call cadences to improve outreach effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, SPIN Selling, or Challenger Sales is a plus
