Success in this role involves negotiating high-stakes opportunities, creating compelling proposals, and supporting the revenue team in meeting goals. This role is based in the Central US/Midwest region.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelorโs degree or equivalent
- 5+ yearsโ experience working in education and/or state government
- Ability to speak publicly, often before senior government, technology, and education leaders
- General knowledge of education policy, political and legislative processes
- Experience in exceeding KPIs
- Strong sales skills: listening, writing, communication and organizational
- Willingness to travel 50%
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary company liaison between state officials/legislators/large municipal governments in assigned geographic region
- Build relationships with state agencies and legislators to sell Transfrโs product offerings and grow market share - existing relationships are a plus
- Prospect, qualify, and develop opportunities with state agencies and strategic accounts throughout designated territory
- Collaborate with teammates to develop strategic priorities that align with state-level organizations, agencies, and institutions
- Identifying state funding appropriations that align with selected geographic regions
- Work with customers over time to identify and develop additional expansion opportunities
- Learn about the key workforce and education policy with ties to funding frameworks for our partners. Synthesize this information into your relationship building and strategic planning
- Work alongside other Revenue teammates to hit individual and company KPIโs and goals in your geographic territory
- Negotiate high-stake opportunities with senior executives and government leaders, while demonstrating a high degree of emotional intelligence and business acumen
- Create and present compelling proposals based on value propositions that align with customer needs
- Produce analysis comparing job market needs to misalignment with existing training infrastructure
- Support Revenue team in their reporting on deal timelines and updates to ensure that we meet deal milestones and deadlines, providing updates in our CRM system
- Manage the contracting process post-signature including support to contract integration, change management, governance activities, expansions and renegotiations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CRM is a plus
- Experience in a government or agency role is strongly preferred, with the candidate having a proven track record of success
Benefits
- The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $110,000 and $120,000, with the actual base salary amount dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidateโs credentials, relevant experience, and primary job location
