Graduate Engineer

Summary

The job is an opportunity to join Pico's engineering team, working on designing and developing new features for their ultra-low latency market data and order execution solutions. The role requires a BSc/MSc in a relevant Engineering discipline, proficiency in C and/or C++ development under Linux, knowledge of multi-threaded application development, excellent communication skills, ability to ask for help and incorporate constructive feedback, and an office-based minimum expectation with hybrid work flexibility.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in a relevant Engineering discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc)
• Proficiency in C and/or C++ development under Linux
• Knowledge of multi-threaded application development
• Insatiable appetite for problem-solving and learning about technology
• Team player - excels in a collaborative environment while using initiative to the team’s benefit
• Focus on writing maintainable code
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to ask for help, take advice, and incorporate constructive feedback

Responsibilities

Design and develop new features across Pico’s entire product range

Preferred Qualifications

• Python programming
• Java programming
• IP networking
• Knowledge of Financial trading concepts (orders, trades, quotes, etc) and protocols, including FIX
