Requirements

• Knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Familiarity with creating visually impactful and user-friendly dashboards tailored to stakeholders in the education sector
• Competence in data modelling, ETL processes, and Power Query (M-code)
• Solid grasp of DAX for advanced measures, calculations, and analytics
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Power BI dashboards
• Understanding of relational databases and schemas
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Bromcom teams and stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain high-quality dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Support schools and MATs by delivering reporting solutions that align with their operational and strategic needs
• Build and optimise data models to ensure reliable, accurate, and actionable insights
• Maintain Bromcom’s reporting standards by ensuring data quality, consistency, and coherence across all solutions
• Develop advanced analytics using DAX and Power Query to meet the complex reporting needs of education providers
• Optimise existing Power BI solutions to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and scalability
• Proactively identify areas for improvement and recommend data visualisation best practices
• Collaborate with the Data Team to ensure alignment with Bromcom’s overall data strategy and roadmap

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud-based solutions like Azure and various data sources
• Familiarity with OData frameworks and their application in Power BI
• A recent graduate or entry-level candidate with a strong interest in Power BI and data visualisation
• A problem solver with a creative, outside-the-box approach to creating reporting solutions
• Eager to learn, improve, and contribute to a dynamic team
