Summary

Join a team of students working on critical issues involving the proliferation of nuclear, chemical & biological weapons, ballistic missiles and strategies for their control, WMD terrorism, and space security issues. As a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA), you will have opportunities to work on-campus or remotely on various projects, including databases, website publications, fact sheets, and analytical issue briefs.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in MIIS classes
  • Be located in the U.S
  • Excellent writing and analysis skills
  • General knowledge of WMD nonproliferation issues
  • Knowledge of and experience in conducting scholarly research

Responsibilities

  • Work on databases
  • Work on website publications
  • Work on fact sheets
  • Work on analytical issue briefs
  • Geolocation of WMD facilities worldwide
  • Development of country and entity profiles
  • Collate images of missiles and other WMD-relevant objects while tracking sources and copyright restrictions
  • Develop case studies of illicit trade and procurement based on court cases etc
  • Maintain and provide content for a WordPress site related to trading compliance (export controls, sanctions, etc)
