Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector or wealth management
- Expertise in: General accounting, Compliance and auditing, Budget management, Grants accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAGAS standards and experience working with investment firms, family offices, or foundations
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex projects independently
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire grant lifecycle, including proposal development, budget oversight, monitoring, and compliance
- Ensure compliance with funding guidelines and regulatory requirements, including GAGAS standards and international regulations like Indian FCRA laws
- Maintain accurate financial records for audit readiness, tax preparation, and budget tracking
- Monitor grant spending against budget projections and manage amendments as needed
- Collaborate with sub-grantees to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to foundation regulations, including expenditure responsibility requirements
- Review and manage legal documents such as grant agreements, sub-award agreements, and service contracts
- Act as a compliance expert, ensuring alignment with US and international laws
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with international compliance laws, particularly Indian FCRA regulations
