Summary

Join Dexterra Group's internal Communications Team as a Graphic Design & Communications Specialist. Reporting to the Manager, Communications, you will create visually stunning content that engages and inspires employees. Responsibilities include developing visual concepts, designing digital assets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting internal campaigns, and maintaining communication calendars. The ideal candidate possesses a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, 2 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite, strong design skills, and excellent communication skills. The position is primarily remote with occasional travel to Mississauga. Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, graphic design or a related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Premiere) and MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong design skills with solid understanding of layout, typography, and branding
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Primarily remote, with the ability to travel to Mississauga and surrounding area as required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and storytelling abilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop eye-catching visual concepts based on requirements
  • Design digital assets like event invitations, illustrations, infographics, Canva templates, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Revise and refine designs based on feedback until they shine
  • Ensure all deliverables stay on-brand, are visually compelling, tell our story and audience-appropriate
  • Collaborate & create with cross-functional teams, Internal Communications and Human Resources team to develop engaging content
  • Support internal campaigns such as employee engagement initiatives, newsletters, and announcements
  • Maintain communication and event calendars
  • Assist with ad hoc communications projects a needed

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in using various types of photographic equipment is a plus
