Groundbreakers Contributor

Summary

Join GroundBreakers, a global nonprofit, as a remote, unpaid intern contributing to our media team. Contribute your insights to our platform, engage with a global community, and participate in seminars and trainings. Write three articles monthly on your chosen focus areas. Collaborate with fellow writers and the Network Engagement team to amplify local leaders globally. This is a great opportunity for passionate individuals with strong writing and interpersonal skills to contribute to social justice issues. Applications are accepted until May 21, 2021.

Requirements

• Demonstrated commitment to racial equity
• Prior experience in writing
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and analytic skills
• Dedication to contributing to a positive, inclusive, and supportive work environment and being a strong team player
• Candidates must be self-directed and able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Write 3 articles a month on your focus areas of interest
• Participating in team calls to collaborate on article and video series ideas with fellow writers on the GroundBreakers team
• Participating in seminars and programming to support your writing and leadership skillsets
• Collaborating with the GroundBreakers Network Engagement team to support and amplify local leaders globally

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with graphic design tools including Canva
