Summary
Join MMR, a global leader in sensory science, as their US Sensory Managed Panels Head! This regional role, with potential global responsibilities, involves overseeing multiple sensory teams and panels at client sites. You will ensure smooth execution of sensory research, enhance team expertise, and support client requests. Responsibilities include managing panel leaders, recruiting panelists, handling queries, implementing best practices, and conducting client meetings. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of sensory science experience, excellent communication skills, and a client-focused approach. Remote work with travel is possible.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Sensory Science in various contexts (FMCG, ingredient suppliers, agencies…)
- An excellent communicator with a persuasive and decisive approach
- Deep knowledge of sensory science and various approach to descriptive and discriminative testing
- Expertise in analyzing sensory panel performances and designing training plans to improve data quality (knowledge of specific sensory and statistical software is a plus)
- Client focused
- Organization / Influencing skills to accomplish goals
- Committed to the success of this role and the company

Responsibilities
- Oversee the activities of multiple sensory teams (panel leaders) and sensory panels, working at our clients’ sites ensuring the smooth execution of sensory research
- Deepen the technical expertise of the teams in place and supporting specific clients’ requests
- Management of a Sensory manager, supporting on US client managed panels
- Management of panel leaders in place with clients
- Support day to day US client managed panel operations
- Additional analysis / KPIs / Recommendations for panel training
- Recruitment and screening of new panelists
- Queries regarding policies linked to panel (behaviour, holidays, leave, pay…)
- Queries regarding MMR tools (softwares) and methods
- Queries regarding improvement of facilities
- Implement global good practices
- Recruitment of new panel leaders
- Administrative tasks (PO, invoicing…)
- Onboard new panel leaders, train and support the development of panel leaders in place
- Handles regular meetings with clients
- Quarterly partnership reviews to discuss achievements and improvements
- Act as advisor to help with designing studies / new sensory method
- Align on ways of working
