Summary

Join Power Digital as the Head of Development and oversee the web development division, managing a team, coaching, mentoring, and problem-solving. You will be responsible for ensuring project completion on time and within budget, while maintaining high product quality. This role involves escalation support for team members and clients, team management, leadership and coaching, stakeholder communication, new project scoping, performance management, and resource allocation. You will leverage Power Digital's proprietary technology, nova, and employ AI technologies to optimize business processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in managing software development projects and teams.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • Possess strong technical background
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
  • Have experience scoping out new projects for net-new clients, and properly allocating timelines and resources designated to those projects
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be adept at identifying and solving problems during the development process (technical, process-related, or interpersonal)
  • Have the ability to align software development efforts with organizational goals and strategies
  • Understand the business context and how software development contributes to the company's objectives
  • Be adaptable and open to learning new technologies, tools, and methodologies
  • Have previous experience in a technical leadership role (team lead or senior developer)
  • Have experience managing software development projects and teams
  • Be bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Provide escalation support to team members and account teams to solve challenges at the account and/or personnel level
  • Manage people and processes within the development team, ensuring the team meets project goals and deadlines
  • Develop team members’ skills, foster a collaborative work environment, and support their professional growth
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the development team and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business terms and providing project updates
  • Scope new business opportunities, allocating resources, managing timelines, and considering team capabilities
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to team members, aligning their work with organizational goals
  • Hire and allocate human and technical resources to ensure projects are adequately staffed and supported, in coordination with the Head of Operations
  • Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes
  • Utilize and leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it relates to your department
