Head of Finance

You will be empowered to lead financial reporting, manage statutory reporting and audits, handle tax obligations, oversee financial systems, implement internal controls, and partner with stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong IFRS knowledge and experience with ERP systems.

Requirements

• CA, CPA or ACCA qualification
• 5+ years in senior finance roles with experience owning group reporting, audits, and tax compliance
• Strong IFRS knowledge and hands-on experience preparing consolidated financials
• Proven ability to manage external audits and multi-entity statutory reporting
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and solid Excel skills
• Track record of improving finance operations through tooling or automation
• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments such as startups, scaleups or product-led tech companies
• Prior exposure to top-tier consulting or professional services
• A player-coach mindset – equally confident leading a team and diving into detail

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of group financial reporting under IFRS, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end consolidation and close across multiple entities
• Own the statutory reporting process across jurisdictions and coordinate annual audits with external partners
• Manage all group tax obligations and compliance filings (GST, FBT, PAYG, R&D, international tax)
• Oversee and maintain the group’s financial systems, including NetSuite and billing systems, ensuring accurate configuration, data integrity, and reporting
• Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and risk frameworks
• Drive improvements in reporting cadence, close timelines (target: 5–6 business days), and data quality through process design and tooling
• Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure accurate accounting treatment for new products, partnerships, and revenue streams
• Manage and develop a lean, high-performing team across controllership, treasury, and digital asset operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Web3, crypto or digital asset operations
• Experience managing billing systems and supporting B2B revenue models
• Familiarity with R&D reporting, capitalisation and grant-based compliance
