Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in education policy, government relations, or a related field with 7+ years leading high performing policy teams
- Bachelorβs degree
- Proven ability to build and sustain influential relationships with policymakers and external partners
- Expertise in interpreting and responding to policy trends at federal, state, and local levels
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach to complex initiatives
Responsibilities
- Lead policy strategy for Great Minds ensuring there is a comprehensive public policy plan that aligns with company goals and objectives
- Forge and nurture relationships with public officials, policymakers, and key stakeholders to advance education policy initiatives
- Oversee contract lobbyists and other partners in targeted geographies to ensure alignment with Great Mindsβ policy objectives
- Establish and communicate federal and state policy priorities, crafting both annual and long-term strategies
- Leverage knowledge of federal, state, and local policy trends to inform Great Mindsβ strategic planning, revenue forecasting, and product development
- Represent Great Minds by speaking on policy issues in legislative hearings, state board meetings, and nationwide conferences and roundtables
Benefits
- The expected base salary range for this position is $220,000-$240,000, however the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations
