Summary

Join Apply Digital as the Head of Technology, Continuous Delivery, leading a team of DevOps Engineers, QA Analysts, and QA Engineers. You will champion best practices in secure software development, agile methodologies, and automation across global delivery teams. This role requires a broad understanding of infrastructure as code, continuous integration, automated testing, and secure software development within the development of marketing and digital platform solutions. You will also provide expert consulting skills to build relationships across internal teams and promote the value of your portfolio of services to clients.

Requirements

  • Experience leading organizations in continuous improvement, shift left, DevSecOps, and/or evolution of software delivery practices
  • Proven track record in a similar technology leadership role in continuous delivery, devops, security, and/or quality assurance in a consulting environment
  • Deep technical knowledge across cloud-native development, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure software development lifecycle
  • Experience with composable architecture and/or MACH platforms, including cloud platforms, headless CMS, modern web and mobile frameworks, API integrations, and digital analytics platforms
  • Demonstrated experience in providing expert guidance to clients, working with client technology, security and testing teams to deliver highly secure solutions while fostering strong client relationships
  • Proven ability to mentor team members and foster a high-performance culture in large multidisciplinary teams
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align technology decisions with broader business objectives
  • Experience managing delivery risks across technical complexity, resourcing, client relationships, and scope
  • Excellent client-facing skills and experience in vendor selection and management
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to foster trust and empowerment with clients, stakeholders, and team members
  • Calm, positive, supportive, and solution-oriented mindset, able to promote a collaborative atmosphere within the team

Responsibilities

  • Practice Leadership & Oversight: Oversee and guide the work of Devops Engineers, QA Analysts and QA Engineers, ensuring high-quality outcomes to clients. Direct responsibility for leadership within North America with alignment to other global delivery teams in Latin America, India, and Europe
  • Practice Growth: Promote the value of Continuous Delivery as a service offering within the broader Technology service offering internally. Collaborate with pitch teams to develop estimates, scope projects and resource team members to opportunities. Work with business development and client services teams to articulate the value of the practice to prospects and clients. Staff the team to meet and anticipate demand for services as the practice grows
  • Best Practices: Act as champion of best practices related to continuous delivery, quality assurance, devops and security compliance. Review CI/CD pipelines and other SDLC processes within client accounts and provide hands-on guidance to ensure it meets security standards and automated quality checks. Proactively set standards for other technology teams to adopt and collaborate with client account teams to map Apply Digital standards to client specific tools, processes and roles. Work with CISO and DPO to translate ISO 27001 and other security/compliance standards into working client delivery processes, quality assurance methodologies and repeatable accelerators for delivery of secure solutions
  • Mentorship & Team Collaboration: Develop expertise within the broader technology team in delivering digital solutions that include websites, mobile applications, integrations, e-commerce solutions, data and analytics, etc. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business goals. Manage multiple delivery squads, ensuring that deadlines are met and dependencies are properly managed
  • Client & Business Management: Provide expert advice and nurture relationships with stakeholders within client organizations. Identify and nurture growth within projects, delivering business value for both the client and our organization
  • Risk Management & Process Improvement: Identify, prevent, and mitigate risks that might impact the success of the engagement. Escalate issues and risks to executive leadership when needed
  • Thought Leadership: Position our consultancy as a leader in delivering high quality and continuous improvement.  This includes thought leadership and client education on software delivery trends, composable platform architecture and modernizing project delivery
