Health Care Services Epidemiologist

Summary

Join the CDC Foundation as a Health Care Services Epidemiologist to provide support to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Health Care Strategy and Planning. The successful candidate will participate in designing, implementing, and maintaining health care capacity dashboards, develop and conduct background research and case studies about complex health care delivery issues, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Performs formal background research and case studies of complex health issues (i.e., interviewing other states and health providers about programs)
• Provides related consultation to departmental staff and others
• Participates in designing, implementing, and maintaining health care capacity dashboards
• Provides training, technical assistance, and consultative services regarding health care access and utilization
• Serves as a point of contact for various personnel regarding moderately complex epidemiologic issues
• Writes various epidemiologic reports
• Performs various duties in support of office operations
• Prepares technical and non-technical summaries of work, scientific reports and manuscripts
• Models and estimates health care resources needed to meet the needs of communities
• Supports the development of a strategic plan for engaging community health centers as a critical partner in health care delivery
• Collaborates with Bureau of Health Professions Licensure Epidemiologists to create work professions series dashboards and revise data collection tools for licensed or certified professionals
