Join IntellaTriage's growing team as a part-time Hospice Triage Nurse! Work remotely from a compact US state, providing after-hours care to hospice and home health patients. Requirements
- Have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license
- Live in/work from a Compact US state
- Have experience with end-of-life care
- Have high speed internet
- Be tech savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have keyboard competence
- Use your own high-speed internet
- Have a quiet space, away from noise and distraction, while you work (privacy/HIPAA compliant space is required)
- Remain in good standing and ensure your home state license remains active
- Be able to complete three weeks of remote paid training that is conducted during days and evenings
- Be available to work every other Saturday & Sunday
- Be available to work some Holidays as required
- Pass background check and nurse licensing check
- Fluency in English
- Physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer
Responsibilities
- Provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health providers
- Manage after-hours care delivery
- Become an extension of clientsโ care team, supporting them and their patients during non-core hours
- Work a minimum 1 evening shift weekly 3:30p-9:30p CST (shift times are set/ week day flexes)
- Work every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday 3:30p-12a CST
- Pick up additional shifts, if available, for the clientsโ you are trained to support
- Access EMRs for charting and utilize our internal applications to perform job functions
- Follow instructions, read directions, and be confident using technology
- Complete a minimum of 30 minutes paid shift prep prior to taking calls
- Spend 30 minutes to 2 hours, at the end of your shift, completing remaining charting before clocking out
- Maintain CEUโs as designated by the states in which you are answering calls
- Attend any in-services, and additional training on an as needed basis
- Handle stress and multitask when receiving calls (minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays, and up to 8 per hour on weekends)
- Communicate empathically with patients while adhering to protocols
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospice, palliative, end-of-life care experience
- Experience in a fast-paced environment: ED, surgical services, or critical care
- Comfort accessing multiple technology applications to document during calls
- Ability and comfort with typing in a fast-paced environment
- Additional languages
