Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 7 yrs+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, with a focus on employee relations, payroll, and union environments
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, payroll processes, and contractor agreements
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and provide guidance on company policies and procedures
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve employee satisfaction
  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure timely updates for new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve payroll discrepancies and audits
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate employee records and prepare reports as needed
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Support recruitment efforts by screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding processes
  • Develop and maintain onboarding programs to facilitate smooth transitions for new hire
  • Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
