Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as an HSSE professional or in a similar role within a field-based work environment
  • Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials and practices
  • Familiarity with data analysis and statistical reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Working knowledge of safety management information systems
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with good time-management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Enforce corporate compliance regulations (CCR) and occupational health and safety (OSHA) policies and programs
  • Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
  • Prepare and conduct monthly safety meetings and trainings
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions
  • Respond to incidents and accidents
  • Perform incident investigations and root cause analyses (RCAs)
  • Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations to determine their causes
  • Conduct safety audits, safety observations, and safety walks
  • Enforce preventative measures to ensure workplace safety
  • Identify process bottlenecks and provide timely solutions
  • Ensure all employees comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Oversee workplace repairs, installations, and other activities that could impact employee safety
  • Teaching supervisors, managers, and other leaders in the company about health and safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solar construction experience
  • Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Working knowledge of safety management information system
  • Certificate in construction health and safety (OSHA 510 preferred)
