Summary

The CDC Foundation is seeking a Human Services Planner I to work in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role involves designing and conducting projects/studies, data collection and analysis, and providing administrative support. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields, experience with system design, data analysis, and project management, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public service administration, psychology, sociology, statistics, information technology, or a human service programmatic field, from an appropriately accredited institution
  • Experience working on system and workflow design and implementation through the use of technology
  • Experience using a customer relationship management system and/or Microsoft Power Platform (i.e., PowerAutomate, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, data analysis, statistics, and presentation skills to synthesize, comprehend, and recapitulate complex information
  • Past experiences conducting probabilistic data linkages with relevant software (e.g., Match*Pro)
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Demonstrated project management, organization and planning skills applied in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Strong self-direction and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with many teams and organizations on a diverse set of topics
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, demonstrating customer service and servant leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and supporting a team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Create a data request management system to track all SCHS data requests supported by a technological solution
  • Coordinate and track data requests from researchers
  • Conduct probabilistic data linkages of Central Cancer Registry data
  • Communicate effectively with professional and administrative personnel
  • Provide administrative and analytical support for case escalations
  • Attend key meetings and track follow up items
  • Assist in the establishment of goals, objectives, and timelines for key cross functional programs and initiatives that advance the Department’s strategic plan
  • Serve as a liaison between programs involved in a special project or strategic initiative
