Hydraulics Trainer

Summary

Join TPC Training, a Certus Company, as a Part-Time Hydraulics Instructor! This remote position requires a strong hydraulic and mechanical background with at least 10 years of field experience. You will instruct 2-25 students in classroom settings, covering various mechanical and hydraulic topics. Travel is required, and you'll utilize MS Office products and potentially Zoom for virtual training. The pay is $475-$600 per teaching day, with approximately 80 teaching days per year. Requirements

• Possess field experience as a Hydraulic Instructor or Technician for a minimum of 10 years
• Demonstrate excellent presentation skills
• Exhibit a customer service mindset with the ability and passion to share your knowledge and experience
• Have the ability to travel
• Have the ability to manage training support equipment up to 90 pounds
• Possess an associate degree or higher or a license/certification for the discipline

Responsibilities

• Instruct 2-25 students in a classroom setting with hands-on and lecture components
• Teach one or more of the following disciplines: Plant Maintenance, and Safety; Production Maintenance; Troubleshooting Electrical Control units; Understanding of Production Management; Various Pumps & Pump Systems; Hydraulics; Mechanical Maintenance; Application of Hydraulics; Hydraulic Safety, Principles; Positive-displacement Pumps; Flow Control Valves, Directional Control Valves, Check Valves; Hydraulic Cylinder, Motors, Rotary Actuators; Pressure Control Valves, Pilot Operated Pressure Control Valves; Accumulators; Fluid Conductors; Reservoirs, Heat Exchangers, and Filters; Generalization on Hydraulic Troubleshooting; Internal and External Leaking Control; Troubleshooting Hydrostatic Transmission
• Utilize MS Office products (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel)
• Travel to assigned locations
• Manage training support equipment up to 90 pounds
