Summary

iParametrics is hiring Instrumentation and Control Designers for a Department of Energy nuclear project. The role involves reading, interpreting, and generating design drawings with minimal input from the engineering staff. The position is remote with travel to Greenville, SC once a month. A minimum Associate Degree in engineering, design or related field, 10 years of progressive experience in design and drafting, 3D modeling experience (SmartPlant 3D preferred), CAD proficiency, and experience with MicroStation Connect or V8i, Revit, Navisworks or Solidworks are required. The candidate must have a background in instrumentation and control systems within the electrical field. US citizenship is required for this project. The position pays $60 - $65/hr.

Requirements

• Minimum Associate Degree in engineering, design or another field related to the position from an accredited university
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in design and drafting related to engineering and construction
• 3D modeling experience required. SmartPlant 3D experience is preferred
• CAD proficiency with demonstrated experience with computer aided drafting applications to originate and produce drawings with minimum supervision
• Experience with MicroStation Connect or V8i, Revit, Navisworks or Solidworks is a plus
• Background and experience must include drafting/designer experience in instrumentation and control systems within the electrical field
• US citizenship is required for this project

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and generate design drawings and 3D modeling with minimal input from the engineering staff
• Walk down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate minor design details, create new drawings, modify existing drawings, and direct junior drafters

Benefits

This position pays $60 - $65/hr. The actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including specific skills, level of experience, geographic location or other relevant factors
