Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in index management, financial data analysis, or related fields, with a strong focus on corporate actions, data validation, and process optimization
  • Proven track record in team management, with demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL, AI and Python, with the ability to apply these skills to improve operational efficiency
  • Strong understanding of financial market data, corporate actions, and their impact on indices, with a willingness to deepen expertise
  • Practical experience with financial data sets and tools such as FactSet, Reuters, Morningstar, Bloomberg, or similar platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of financial benchmarks, index methodologies, and rebalancing, with the ability to handle both basic and complex scenarios
  • Proven ability to maintain and validate data quality, investigate errors, and liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working in cross-functional and global teams, ensuring smooth workflows and operational continuity
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field; advanced coursework or certifications (e.g., CFA, CQF) are a plus
  • Awareness of regulatory standards, such as Benchmark Regulations and IOSCO principles, with a commitment to developing expertise in compliance-related areas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, with the ability to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a regional team responsible for the index production
  • Automate index production processes using Python and AI technologies to improve operational efficiency and accuracy
  • Contribute to the full lifecycle of index management, including validation, launch, rebalancing, and governance processes
  • Monitor and maintain index accuracy across equity and multi-asset classes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and methodology
  • Manage processes for handling and validating financial data, including preventive checks, error investigations, and remediations necessary to maintain data quality
  • Conduct research on corporate actions, ensuring accurate application in indices and resolving data discrepancies with vendors
  • Perform rigorous quality checks prior to index dissemination and assist with end-of-day validations
  • Write and review index methodologies, benchmarks, and compliance statements to align with industry standards
  • Support index production initiatives across multiple asset classes, including equity, fixed income, derivatives, and commodities
  • Provide actionable reports and analyses to stakeholders, addressing client inquiries related to index data and calculations
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure seamless cross-regional workflows and operational continuity
