Industry Solutions Specialist

Summary

Join MongoDB's Industry Solutions Team (IST) as a remote/flexible, globally-dispersed team member based in Mexico City, covering North and South American regions. The role involves communicating MongoDB's platform to customers and partners through content creation and technical demos. You will lead projects driving account success, collaborating with Industry Consultants and Principals. This position offers a path towards a consultant role and beyond, with a career trajectory tailored to your interests. The ideal candidate possesses at least 3 years of relevant tech experience, foundational programming knowledge (Python & Javascript), data/data engineering understanding, and strong communication skills. Up to 25% travel is required.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the tech sector, or relevant technical experience in other sectors
• Foundational knowledge of programming (Python & Javascript)
• A foundational knowledge of data and/or data engineering (you will become more of an expert on the job!)
• A balance of technical knowledge as well as communication/presentation skills
• Ability and willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new industries
• A diverse experience or interest in multiple industries, such as finance, banking or healthcare (we have a broad range of clients and need to understand their industries to adapt solutions)
• The ability to manage and work with multiple stakeholders effectively
• A pro-active, self-starter with the drive to learn new skills and become an expert in that field
• The ability to travel up to 25% in normal circumstances for conferences, clients, team shadowing, team events, MongoDB events, etc
• A strong sense of team-work working towards a common goal with process-oriented skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of technical demos, showcasing MongoDB’s capabilities for specific industry-focused use cases
• Help generate/deliver content, such as white papers, blogs, webinars, thought leadership, speaking events, etc. that communicates the business value of MongoDB as a leading industry solution
• Partner with the rest of the Industry Solutions team to help ensure success in accounts ranging from small startups to large enterprises (i.e customizing solutions, client presentations, client-specific content, etc.)
• Assist in Consultant/Principal support of sales through enablement, with activities such as technical discovery, demos, trainings, proof of values, presentations, and documentation of technical decision criteria; working across a number of sales opportunities in parallel
• Act as a liaison between our team and Marketing, Sales, and Product, playing an active role in MongoDB’s Go-To-Market Strategy
• Proactively seek opportunities to support and mentor other team members and share best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or equivalent work experience in the tech sector
• Experience with database programming and data models
• Knowledge of mobile programming (Swift)
• Experience with databases and/or deploying applications with any of the major cloud providers or database vendors
• A MongoDB Certification
• Proficiency in more than one language
