Summary

The job is for an Information Security Engineer at Connectbase, a fast-growing SaaS company in the connectivity industry. The role involves developing and implementing security policies, designing and implementing security protocols, monitoring network activity, responding to security incidents, conducting audits and risk assessments, and providing training on security best practices.

Requirements

• Strong background with privacy frameworks
• Proficient in security management with specific experience
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills due to high amount of interaction with Connectbase team, customers, and external vendors
• 7+ years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years' work experience in Intel gathering including vulnerability and threat modelling, identifying new sources and mitigating risks following Risk management strategies
• Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and implement security policies and procedures
• Design and implement security protocols to protect the organization’s data, network, and systems
• Monitor network and system activity to detect and prevent security breaches
• Respond to security incidents and work with other IT and/or Engineering professionals to address and resolve them
• Test security measures and assess their effectiveness
• Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities
• Facilitate audits and examinations by regulatory agencies a/o customer requests
• Work directly with business units to facilitate IT risk analysis and risk management processes; Promptly reporting security incidents or significant security problems to the CTO
• Either through direct methods a/o via engagement with third party services providers, ensure continual practice of network penetration and vulnerability testing
• Assist in Security based business programs: Risk Register, Business Impact Analysis, Disaster Recovery testing program, Business Continuity Program, etc
• Ensure all acquisitions, procurements, and outsourcing efforts address information security requirements consistent with organization
• Provide training and guidance on security awareness and best practices to other personnel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with distributed and offshore teams
• Direct experience in the Telecom industry
