Information Security Officer

Summary

Join Mindera's security team and contribute to a secure and reliable infrastructure. This role focuses on internal security needs, with occasional client work. You will be responsible for security monitoring, incident response, infrastructure hardening, and security support. The ideal candidate possesses at least 3 years of hands-on experience in security, strong technical skills, and excellent communication abilities. Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in the field
• Be a strong believer in automation and infrastructure as code (terraform, CDK, etc.)
• Be proficient in data collection and analysis (SIEM and friends)
• Be comfortable with AWS and/or GCP and their security services
• Understand computer networking
• Be a Linux admin or power user
• Be good at scripting (Python, Lua, Bash, etc.) and eager to learn more
• Be a good communicator and not be afraid to ask
• Be able to work autonomously and proactively in a distributed and dynamic organisation
• Want to get things done, and done well

Responsibilities

• Security monitoring and alerting. Improve our monitoring and alerting systems across a variety of infrastructure: from the cloud, to on-prem servers, to end user devices
• Centralised notifications. Ensure that we don’t miss a notification! Integrate monitoring sources with our communication channels, ensuring reliability and availability
• Incident response. Hone and perfect incident response procedures and reporting
• Infrastructure hardening. Help harden and verify infrastructure configuration across our fleet
• Security Support. Advise and answer queries from Minders, contribute to guidelines, awareness and security best practices
• Compliance. Contribute to the implementation of the standards in the ISO/IEC 27000-series, GDPR and a bit of PCI/DSS
• Be involved in other security activities, such as data protection, privacy, security reviews and reports, etc
