InfoSec Associate

Summary

Thoropass is a rapidly expanding compliance automation company based in New York. They are looking for a cloud expert to join their InfoSec Assurance team to help customers demonstrate information security best practices against sought-after Infosec frameworks. The role involves working directly with customers in the cloud, translating security and compliance requirements into actionable tasks, testing and reviewing implemented cloud configurations, and proposing ideas for product features and improvements.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of progressive information security experience
• 1-2  years of experience supporting cloud architecture, design, implementation, operations, and automation in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Must be fluent in English
• Motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible and adaptable
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Team-oriented with an ability to work well independently

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience working in IT audit/ cybersecurity/ information security/ GRC (Top 10 CPA firm, Coalfire, Align, Schellman)
• Experience working with industry recognized security frameworks (SOC 2, etc.)
• Cloud native certification or desire to pursue (ex. AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, etc.)
