Summary

Join Air, a creative ops system company, as our next Infrastructure Engineer and shape the future of our infrastructure. You will design and build the foundation powering our products, impacting performance, stability, and scalability. Collaborate with a talented team to provide a secure, robust, and scalable platform. This role involves designing scalable systems and mentoring junior engineers. We work primarily in TypeScript across our stack and are built on AWS. This is a remote role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Requirements

  • 5+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
  • Experience collaborating with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders
  • Experience managing and maintaining large-scale production infrastructure
  • A strong focus on reliability, performance, and security of distributed systems
  • A desire to build robust, scalable solutions that serve a diverse set of users
  • Experience in CI/CD Pipelines (CircleCi, Jenkins, Github Actions)
  • Experience in Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Experience with Scripting and automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible / Bash)
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience in Database administration (Postgres, RDS Aurora, Elasticsearch, Redis)
  • Familiarity with AWS product suite
  • Willingness to traverse the stack and make contributions across the layers

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the foundation that powers Air's products
  • Provide a secure, robust, and scalable platform for Product and Engineering teams
  • Design scalable systems
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Make contributions across the layers to help drive strategic platform directions forward

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk)
  • Familiarity with Serverless frameworks (AWS Lambda)
  • Familiarity with Security best practices (network, application, and data)
  • Familiarity with Observability and incident management practices
  • Familiarity with Compliance framework like SOC2/ISO, GDPR, CASA
