Infrastructure Performance Engineer

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Performance Engineer to join our team, focusing on optimizing the performance of high-frequency trading systems. The role requires a deep understanding of low-latency systems, performance analysis, and proficiency in performance analysis and monitoring tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience of 3 years working with hardware and operating system performance tuning issues, preferably around the financial industry
• Proficiency in performance analysis and monitoring tools
• Solid knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems and shell scripting
• Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, and multicast communication
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex performance issues and propose effective solutions

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive performance analysis of our infrastructure, including latency profiling, bottleneck identification, and resource utilization analysis
• Collaborate with software engineers to identify and implement performance improvements at the infrastructure levels (hardware and software)
• Work closely with network engineers and other infrastructure teams to optimize hardware configurations, network connectivity, and data transmission protocols
• Stay updated with industry trends, continuously monitor and benchmark the performance of new hardware, operating systems, and tools, identify opportunities for enhancement, and propose innovative solutions
• Utilize performance monitoring tools and frameworks to proactively identify potential performance issues and implement necessary optimizations
