Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney

This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment, requiring a commute to the Baltimore office three days a week after an initial training period. Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in MD
• 3+ years' experience in insurance defense
• Possess strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing and communication skills and have the ability to work independently
• Be detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated
• Have a variety of litigation experience with a concentration in insurance defense

Responsibilities

• Meet deadlines, multi-task, and handle a high volume of cases
• Research complicated legal issues
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and all other documents in a timely manner
• Work closely with other attorneys and support staff
• Handle court appearances, client meetings, and depositions
• Communicate with clients regularly

Preferred Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in other jurisdictions such as DC or VA
• 4-8 years' experience
• Experience with complex general liability, professional liability, construction litigation, property damage claims, the defense of personal injury claims, and transportation
