Requirements
- Experience with healthcare IT specific applications including EHR, EMR, RIS, LIS, RIS, and PACS
- Strong knowledge of and experience with implementing healthcare IT specific standards including but not limited to HL7, FHIR, SNOMED, LOINC, DICOM etcβ¦
- Knowledge of and experience with building various interface connectivity methods, including VPNs, SFTP, APIs, and web services
- Knowledge of and experience with interoperability engines such as Rhapsody, Corepoint, Cloverleaf, or Iguana. Rhapsody experience required
- Experience designing and implementing healthcare IT interface workflows including uni-directional and bi-directional interfacing as well as PACS interfaces
- Knowledge of and experience with SQL and relational databases
- Strong documentation skills, including documenting workflow diagrams, architecture diagrams, and interface designs
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Establish interface connectivity via methods such as APIs, VPNs, SFTP, or web services for new interfaces
- Transform messages using various standards and formats, including but not limited to DICOM, HL7, FHIR, JSON, HTML, and XML
- Complete all database changes needed to support new interface builds including inserts, updates, and deletions of tables and records
- Build both uni-directional and bi-directional interfaces for various clinical workflows, including but not limited to report distribution, order status updates, appointment scheduling, demographic updates, insurance (i.e., eligibility, authorization, etcβ¦), and querying
- Work with team members to define interface requirements and appropriate mappings as well as for QA handoff
- Assist with interface design and architecture as needed
- Participate in project management such as updating projects and providing project status updates
- Perform appropriate unit testing on all interface builds
- Ensure best practices are implemented across all solutions
- Promptly report all escalated issues to the Head of Integration
- Proactively and regularly communicate progress and roadblocks to the Head of Integration
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS experience, specifically with VPC and EC2
- Rhapsody certification
