Summary
Join Biogen's Epidemiology team for a 12-week student internship (June-August 2025)! This fully remote role focuses on answering epidemiologic questions related to neurodegenerative, neuromuscular, and autoimmune diseases. You will conduct research using secondary resources, data visualization, and contribute to drug development. The internship includes a final presentation, and publication is possible. Resume review begins January 2025. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and communication skills, a background in biological/medical science, and an interest in epidemiology and related fields. A Master's degree in Epidemiology (or a related field) and current doctoral enrollment are required.
Requirements
- Possess excellent analytical/problem-solving skills
- Have background knowledge about biological science/medical science
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Have legal authorization to work in the U.S
- Be at least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Have a Master-level degree (MSc or MPH) in Epidemiology (or closely related field) and currently be enrolled in a doctoral-level (PhD) program in Epidemiology
Responsibilities
- Conduct research using secondary resources such as literature and/or publicly available data
- Perform data visualization
- Work collaboratively with team members and groups across Biogen
- Contribute to answering epidemiologic questions related to neurodegenerative disease, neuromuscular diseases, and autoimmune diseases
- Give a presentation at the end of the internship
