Summary
Join Kiva's Impact Investments team as an Investment Analyst Contractor and contribute to expanding financial access in Latin America and the Caribbean. This entry-level, 6-month, part-time (32 hours/week), remote position based in Bogota, Colombia, offers a high-caliber learning experience. Support the team in monitoring and analyzing the financial performance of current investees, conducting due diligence on potential investments, and assessing loan product costs. Gain exposure to microfinance concepts and professional development tailored to your career goals. This role requires a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, 1+ years of experience (internships included), financial statement analysis skills, Spanish fluency, and B2 English proficiency. The position provides a monthly stipend of $800 USD, a flexible work schedule, and a friendly remote environment.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age or older by July 15th, 2025
- Must be authorized to work in Colombia
- Bachelor or Masters degree in finance, accounting or business. Undergraduates in other areas with the necessary postgraduate education or experience acquired through internships are also considered
- +1 years of work experience in Impact Investment, Investment Management, Finance, Corporate Lending or Management Consulting (internships are considered as a part of the experience)
- Bogota-based, remote and flexible position
- Training or experience in financial statement analysis is required
- Spanish fluency and B2 level of English required
- High level of independence, attention to detail and proactivity
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft and/or Google Suite office software and adept at learning and using technology platforms
- 6 month minimum required commitment, 1 year highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management: Support the Investment Associate/Investment Managers in monitoring and analyzing the financial performance of current investees
- Due Diligence: Support due diligence processes of potential investments to help assess prospects’ financial and social performance
- Interest Rate/Borrower Cost Analysis: Assess the total cost of the loan product offered by field partners in comparison with the local and regional markets
- Help determine the social impact of the investments according to the impact metrics defined by Kiva
